Friendship Bracelet: Trefoil
Posted On June 22, 2013
I love friendship bracelets and am pretty good at making them. The largest I’ve ever done is a 30 string bracelet that I’m still working on, but should be finished soon. Today I decided to try my hand at making a pattern. I love the many many different patterns on friendship-bracelets.net and decided to use their pattern generator. After several trials and errors I finally came up with this:
It’s still pending and hasn’t been accepted to the site yet, but once it is you can find it here to add to your favorites! (Looks like they rejected it. Oh well, I can still use it and so can you!)
As you can see it’s a trefoil. It’s the best I could do and I’m quite proud of it.
Happy bracelet making.

Very nice, Zigg! I am surprised they rejected it 🙁 Thanks for making it available. I have never made friendship bracelets before and I'm wondering if this might be too advanced to start with? Can I assume this is made with 13 strands of white and 9 strands of green lined up as shown on the A/B row?
I would advise to start with a 5 or 6 string bracelet to get the hang of how to make the knots an even tightness and how to tell if a knot flips to the wrong color. You are right about the number of strands as well, but the colors can be changed if wanted.
Can someone explain how to read patterns like these? PLEASE!
Do you have a video tutorial of this or a finished bracelet that we can see?
I do not have a finished bracelet yet, I guess I should make one!
